About Us

The Collabs
I remember sitting in class with the rest of the MBA candidates at the University of Michigan one day this spring. Our professor was equipping us with soft skills and research that every parent would want their kids to understand, but life isn't always that simple. She turned to us and said, "you know, one day I'm going to meet my financial goals, and then I'm going to retire and do what I want to do- teach this stuff to the people who really need it".

Later that evening, in mulling over her words, we felt the effects of her remark more deeply. While we find this information more valuable than gold, we cannot take full credit for our accomplishments- or this information. (A special thanks to Professors David Mayer and Paula Caproni of the University of Michigan, for the basis of much of this)! We understand that our journey has been significantly helped by those that love us, and with that understanding we now wish to give back.

We formed our team during the summer semester of 2011, and due to the creativity and service orientation of our members, we acted.

Enclosed in these pages we have tried to pass some of what we have gleamed from classroom discussion, lectures on research, or those who came before us, on to others.

You may ask "who are you to lecture me"? Please understand that we are and forever will be students, actively seeking to learn from ourselves, those around us and our surroundings. By our example we hope you will be inspired to continue on your journey.

As life is more of a dialogue than monologue, we encourage you to comment. Tell us where we are wrong or right, what has motivated you, or has helped you to improve - we would love to hear from you!

The five of us may part ways after our graduation in early Spring of 2012, but we will take what we have learned to heart, and apply it to improve ourselves and the world around us.

No, not sometime in the future, but now.
